[NOTICE] Apache Karaf 2.2.7 maintenance RC in planning

jgoodyear
Hi All,

With the discovery of Karaf-1360 Configuration update doesn't work
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-1360), it was discussed
on the dev email list that we should release a patch as soon as
possible once the issue was resolved. As Karaf 1360 has been marked as
fixed a Karaf 2.2.7 release candidate should shortly follow.

If there are any other issues currently in Jira for 2.2.7 that we
should wait to also have resolved please note them in this thread.

Please note that for new features and/or improvements requested for
Karaf 2.2.x series, we now have the 2.3.x branch for collecting these
issues.

Thanks,

-The Karaf team

Achim Nierbeck
+1 on that,
the only one I consider worth waiting for is

KARAF-1366 - Upgrade to Pax Web 1.0.9
Pax Web was released last Friday

I downgraded the fileinstall version to make KARAF-1360 work. JB said that
this invalidates another issue with special characters in
configs. So I am not sure if we should deliver this. At least we should
wait for JBs opinion.

Guillaume Nodet
Christian, did you try the possible fix i mentioned on irc last week ? If
this fixes the issue, I can start a file install release which will be
needed anyway.

jbonofre
Hi all,

+1 about the Jamie's notice.

I would prefer a new clean release of fileinstall.

Once done, I will update for 2.2.7.

Regards
JB

Not yet and I am currently at a conference. Perhaps I can check tonight in
the hotel.
