apache-karaf-2.2.0-features.xml ?

Cristiano Gavião
At maven repo there is apache-karaf-2.1.4-features.xml file that we can
configure as a dependency:

<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.karaf</groupId>
<artifactId>apache-karaf</artifactId>
<classifier>features</classifier>
<type>xml</type>
</dependency>

and used by features-maven-plugin.

But there isn't one for the 2.2.0 version...  Why?

Am I missing something in this new version ?

cheers

Hey Cristiano,

The urls of the features.xml have been changed. See here for the new paths [1].

Kind regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I've found... ;-)  thanks

But do you know what is the idea behind the 3 types of assemblies there
(standard, features, enterprise)? which one is equivalent to old version?

cheers

Cristiano

Hi Chistiano,

standard and enterprise.

Mostly standard is enough comparing to previous release.

Anyway, FYI, in Karaf 3.0.0, we plan to come back to a more
"standardized" naming.

JB

Re: apache-karaf-2.2.0-features.xml ?

Cristiano Gavião
Hi Jean,

I'm sure that a more "standardized" naming will be welcomed. :)

Well, I've passed more time that I was expecting trying to figure out
the correct path for the descriptor..  My problem was to identify that
org.apache.karaf.assemblies.features is the group... :)
> <descriptor>mvn:org.apache.karaf.assemblies.features/standard/${karaf.version}/xml/features</descriptor>
But everything is ok now...

thanks

Cristiano
